How fast do Russian tortoises grow. Mine has gained some weight since I got him but not all that much. He is only about 2-3 years old. Right now he is 350 grams. I feed him the normal amount (enough to fill his shell f it were a bowl). feed him dark leafy greens and weeds. Once every 2-3 weeks he gets a little dandelion flower or maybe some carrot shavings, But that is rarely ad only as a very special treat.

My russians grow on average a growth line per year, Mine grow around 60-100 grams per year. Also, by the looks of your profile pic yours looks wild caught so at that size it's more likely around 10 years old. If it were captive bred at that size it would probably be the age you said.

I wouldn't worry about how much he grows since growth rates differ with each tortoise. And you're feeding a good diet. So don't worry.

Thank you for the feedback! I believe that he is captive bred as we got him from a reptile/pet convention show thing.
