Clicking

When my tort breathes he makes some clicking noises when I pick him up which is RARELY!

When I stroke my tortoise on the top of his head he clicks or softly quacks or something....not sure what that's about.

To be clear I don't do it a whole lot, but some days he gets really into it... I always assume it has something to do with shedding, maybe feels good.
