can i use spanish moss for humidhide?

Just wondering if i could use spanish moss from a terrarium for a humidhide for my leo tortoise. I have a bag left over that i never used just wondering if it's safe or not. thanks

Hmm idk does it retain moisture very well? Also I saw a pic of someones humid hide that had sponges stapled to the lid I'm assuming they removed it periodically and soaked them to help create humidity I'm thinking of trying it out myself when I build my enclosures

i think it would hold moisture good its made for growing plants in a terrariums
