I am new to the tortoise world and trying to get my enclosure perfect. Which is better for a sulcata hatchling basking light or heat coil?i have a UVB and day/ night heat light but that that's about 80 in warmest area and 60 in cool spot.

What's a heat coil?

What sort of UV light are you using?

Here is a care sheet explaining how to set them up:

Please tell me you don't already have a tortoise in those cold conditions. 80 Should be your minimum, even on the cool side at night, but you still need a basking spot around 100. If you do already have a tortoise please warm it up immediately by adding larger wattage bulbs, more bulbs, or closing in the top.
