I was just wondering at around what age do the brown spots on a baby sulcatas shell go away? I assume they help a baby in the wild blend in to its surroundings.

When do they go away, or lighten up?

They won't technically go away. They will fade a little and become much less prominent as the scutes grow out.

I think they look cool actually....I was just curious since some have them and some don't.

Many are born without them. They'll probably fade a bit in time, especially if the tort spends lots of time in natural sunlight.

You have an adorable little tort there. :)

I really like them. It makes him stand out. He's a great looking little guy (or girl)!
