I thought it would be an interesting post if everyone that has an adult female tortoise of any species would list out these things.
1: Species/Subspecies
2: Current Age Size Weight
3: Age & Size of female when her first clutch was laid and the amount of eggs
4: Her current frequency of laying
5: Her average clutch size
6: Her average fertility rate
7: Any other info you might think would be usefull ex(substrate,time of day, length of laying, multi cavaties, etc.)
I'll start with mine first
1: Sulcata tortoise
2: 11yrs old, 40 lbs, 18inches
3: 10yrs old, 35lbs, 17inches
4: Every 60-80 days roughly
5: 14-20 eggs
6: roughly 70% fertile
8: Lays in the middle of a sunny day, usually after a previously rainy day along the edge of my fence. Shows no signs before laying of being gravid.
