1st morning back

Kerry and I got home last night and drug ourselves awake to go grocery shopping this morning. We were so tired we just bit the bullet and went to the local Food lion near my sons house.
On the way home, we found out why we had felt compelled to go shopping other than having no half& half....this guy was on the White line, traffic nearly hitting him to the point I walked into the roadway running back to get him to force(I hope, I hope) folks to swerve away from him. Success!

He must have been really turned around to find himself where he was....no trees for 200 yds in any direction, just asphalt.

We sent him free in the woods he must have come from. He clammed up fast but a big male with a bright red head!

Wow! He's gorgeous and lucky too! Glad you are home safe and sound from your vacation, but.. Pictures or it didn't happen!

They seem to be out in full force this year. I've come across 5 or 6 already this year, when in previous years I'd be lucky to see even one.
