1st egg

I was going to feed my trio this morning before going to work and unexpectedly noticed an egg next to one of them. Although a pleasant surprise, I'm nprepared so any advice as far as what to do next would be helpful. I will do some research as well. thks, alan

Hi Alan:

Do you have the kind of substrate that they can dig in? Usually eggs dropped on the ground aren't fertile, however, if your habitat's substrate is what's shown in the picture, you may run the risk of your female holding her eggs because she can't find a nice spot to dig a nest. In that case she MIGHT become egg bound.
