Tortilla has what looks like a crack in his beak. He is still eating normally and he has a vet appointment coming up early next week. Has anyone experienced something like this? Is there anything I can do to help him/make sure he is not in pain?

I'm posting this for a relative.
Gone round and noticed a crack on her Tortoises beak.
He's eating with no problems, moving around, to me he's as he normally is when I see him.
Not sure what to do, so any advice would be helpful.
