    My Herman tortoise is starting to become really active about 9 or 10 pm he tries to climb up the glass front of his viv to get it is this normal he usually is settled at these times and in his bed for the night iv noticed this for about 2 weeks now.

    It’s also mostly at the glass he flips as he wants out all the time as soon as he sees someone he tries to climb at the glass front to get out.

    They are shallow terracotta dishes and the humidity sits at about 80 to 90 so I think that’s fine also iv had his viv on before a people said it is fine.

    It’s my 11 year old daughters tortoise and she has been told that if they lay on their back for to long they can die so she panics every time it happens and what do u mean by small stones is it like gravel I was told the coco cour was best for him

    He has a half wood log as a hide and climbs on it when he falls he usually lands on his back and he can’t get himself back over again
