    Found Tortoise in Dubai.

My question was mainly what breed is the new one. That photo is not the full enclosure, only 1 corner and he usually only stays in here at night. Our area is quite built up so we presumed it was a released pet tortoise as it seems very friendly but we have only known it for 24 hours. It is...

    Found Tortoise in Dubai.

Interestingly we have found a tortoise also in Dubai, in Dubailands. A neighbour found it in the road and put it in a bucket of water we have now rescued it and hope it gets on with our current tortoise. Can anyone help me with its species though. It is the smaller tortoise in the picture. Toby...

    Tunisian Spur Thigh - Squeaking

Yes I bath him, and he has hiding places (although he prefers to bury himself). He seems ok with his breathing but I'm waiting for a vets appointment to get him checked anyway. especially as he is new. Thanks

Thanks for the link it's an interesting read. I've tried a variety of things too. Turns out Toby does not like spinach and watercress, or rather they do not agree with him! He wasn't too bother by dandelions but then my local patch had been cut so they must have dried out quickly. I bought a bag...

    Hello from UK!

The lamp is on its own fitting and screwed in as the lamp box and table instructions stated. The heat mat is behind a glass wall again following the table and mats instructions. We got it as a starter, ready to look into better ones when we understood more ourselves.

I had read about coconut coir. Is Amazon the best place to get it from? There are some threads on here that recommend the stuff I have mixed with coconut coir.
