I don't mind your asking. He hasn't been a problem so far , the lease just talks about cats and dogs pretty much. But he really isn't that big right now so it hasn't caused any issues.
I love my Joey and have had him for three years since he was little. But he's aprons 6-7 inches now and doesn't have much room anymore. I have a giant aquarium for him , and it's not ideal at all. He always tries to get out . Is there any way to house him in an apartment? If I could I'd move...
I haven't seen any insects in his enclosure. But I did think it was bleeding because it looks like it s a scab now...I think you are probably right, because when I put him in water he tries to get out after a while and if I don't take him out immediately then it's possible that he's scratched...
I'm not sure why this is happening but my African leopard tort has some bleeding skin on his neck and it's spreading towards his head. I'm really worried. He just got off antibiotics for a RI a few months ago so I hope he's ok now. I soak him but he rarely drinks his water so idk if he's just...
Hi all,
My tort has just recovered from a RI. And everything seems to be going well...he's active and eats lots. But I noticed his tail was a little bit pink one day, and a few days later I saw some red stuff on his plate (I hadn't fed him anything red) two days ago.. and today his tail looks a...
I'm not sure if it sounds wet and gooey...its like a whistling, squeaky sound. I read on some forums hear that it might be normal so I feel a little bit better but I'm still unsure.... its kind of like hearing a person breathe
I took my african leopard tortoise to the vet a few weeks ago because I could hear him breathe at night, and he wasn't very active...they gave him three shots of antibiotic (gentamycin). Unfortunately I can still hear him breathe at night and I'm really worried. Its loud enough for me to hear...
Hello all, my Leapord tort is on anti biotics for a respiratory infection. I just noticed today that his left ear is really really dark. It's usually light colored. What's this a sign of? I want him to not go deaf. I will ask them at the vet tomorrow, but they seem to only know basics about...
Yes I keep the CHE lamp on all the time . The vet gave him a shot of an antibiotic called Gentamicin...he seems pretty well now actually he's eating so they want to give him two more shots over the next two weeks. I'm hoping he feels good after those ones too and continues eating. Here's a pic...
those photos I attached are his lamps. I don't have to boxes anymore....I am taking him to a vet this afternoon for a checkup. They said sooner the better
I dont know anything about four temperatures....he lives inside with me. I have him housed in a glass aquarium. He has a ceramic basking spot lamp and stays under it most of the day. His shell is usually warm which is a good thing I think. I have a regular white Uv light for him
Hi I have a three year old Leapord tort, I'm very worried about him because at night his breathing is so loud that i can hear it. He's been sleeping most of the day lately and stays in the same spot most of the day too. He bobs his head when sleeping as well. His nose is not runny though. I...
