The lady I got them from was very sad to see them go.

Im the same way,I want every reptile I see on there.Luckily my wife is very understanding.
Well 2 weeks after getting my sulcata hatchling ,I saw these guys on craigslist,and had to have em,so here they are LOL.
The lady I got them from said they were yellowfoot,but they look like redfoot to me.
They seem pretty healthy,and are active and eating well already.
she had no idea...
Is it just me or they look surprisingly good?
They would have to have taken care of to some extent,especially earlier in their lives.The shells look pretty well smooth for the most part.
Ive seen far worse on way better care.
I thought about that,but he has a big enclosure and is very active.
I think he does walk miles. lol.
Seriously though .I understand what you are saying.I am going to monitor his weight and growth.
I sure hope so .
I guess I will limit him to 3 a day and see how it goes for awhile.
Today it was literally every time I looked in there he was eating.
He is very active though.So im sure he will be fine.

He was "born" Jan 14.
I will try the kiddie pool.We have a 8 foot privacy fence in our back yard,so not too worried about predators .Only seen small birds,never any jays,or crows.
I dont have a temp gun,but I will add it too my ever expanding list of Tort items.

I know when my boys were babies we fed them whenever they were hungry,
By no means am I comparing my tort to a human baby LOL,but i was kinda thinking that if he wasnt hungry or didn't need it he wouldn't eat.

I was wondering if Torts can overeat?
My baby is almost 8 weeks old,and eats and eats and eats.it seems like he is always in his dish .
He will eat ,go lay down for a bit ,then eat again.
I refill his dish when I see it empty,3 -4 times a day.
Is this too much?
Ya i noticed it.
Ive only had him for 2 days.I am making sure he has a humid hide and getting good "Grubbage" He has the appetite of an elephant. I have also addressed his u/v needs,so hopefully it takes care of it.
I will be posting periodic pics so you guys can help me make sure hes looking...

I got him from a friend of mine who breeds them .He has about 15 or so hatchlings left,so I might end up getting another .LOL
Ya we learned very quick not to take our eyes off him for a second .He seems to like shiny objects.I am going to make him a "playpen" tomorrow .One indoor,one out.
