Thanks guys. The house wasn't a total loss but a lot of stuff is.. but Vern is alive :)

My tortoise Vern was in my house when it burned... she survived and we rushed her to the vet. They put her on oxygen for the night and cleaned her up... she is still breathing heavily but we have antibiotics and burn cream... anyone have any ideas I can do to help her heal? Any thoughts are welcome

I real horrible about it but Vern can't exactly tell me something hurts bit I found this small light colored spot on her shell and I poked it with a thumbnail and each time she reacted like I hurt her.. its the only spot on her and other wise she is healthy and as tortoise like as she has ever...

I noticed a scrape on the back of Vern's leg. Looks clean and she isn't favoring it. Should/could I put something on it like a human antibacterial cream just to be safe?
