i thought of sharing some updates about my tort... she has become much better now...her edema is gone and she can even enter her front limbs and head into the shell normally :D she even looks way better...
honestly i had no intentions at all to breed 2 different species...the day we bought them all our aim was to breed torts so we bought a male and a female...the pet shop we got them from didn't inform us anything about species issues... actually after researches i found that out.. even my bro...

well regarding the soaking, i guess u can place it in anything as long as the water is below the nose level. my tortoises are quite big and i put them in a very small plastic box for the soaking or anything...

well i hope that his beak heals up fast. and i will continue to feed him those small bits of food as i'm doing now. indeed they use their tongue to stick the food onto it then grab it inside their mouth till they swallow it :)

hmm, well the other tort does walk well, and they have always been living on newspaper floor for the past 5 years, never seen this problem before!
regarding eggshells i tried placing some in their enclosure but seems like they have been untouched, i guess my torts dont like them as a whole...
by the way, i was wondering, could egg retention be a reason for all this disaster to happen? and how would i know if my tort is pregnant or not? and how can i make her become pregnant?
and yes she seems like quite heavy, she drags her body along rather than picking herself a little bit up...
you can soak it till you feel it has become stressed out or want to walk out :)
and try to replace the water after it has pooped or peed, as this makes your tort irritated and dont want to stay there anymore.
