Is this wood safe for tortoise enclosures?

I have yet to find any good woodworking stores in my area, so this might be just a temporary enclosure for him. My tort seems to be needing more space, so I decided to work with something I already have. There aren't many stores specifically made for reptile stuff, and even if they are there...

Is this wood safe for tortoise enclosures?

Do you think have some strong tarp would be enough to make sure no water goes in to the board then? I won't be misting the enclosure much because I already receive lots of humid air because of my plants and the overall location of my house.

He's doing great! It is sad that sometimes dogs can be a little mean to other pets :/ But it's nice to know that your tort is doing fine :)

    Crisanthimum flowers?

Chrysanthemums are edible, but it is advised to not feed chrysanthemums regularly. Giving it as a treat, or in small quantities is the way to go.

    Is my tortoise's shell cracked?

Oh, that's great! I was just concerned if it would cause any future problems to him. The breeder had a bunch of cats around, so I'm guessing the cats may have done something. Thanks for letting me know!

    Is my tortoise's shell cracked?

I have had my tortoise for around 2 and half years, and one thing that has been bugging me ever since I got him, is this odd crack on his shell. We never got it checked at a vet, and he seems to be completely alright. I'd like to know if this is a crack or something else. Letting you know that...
