Hey everyone! It's me again :D Hahah. I still have Irwin, and he is thriving!
Yesterday I went to the petstore and saw a Redfoot that was all dried out, his eyes closed, he looked miserable. So I bought him, because I felt so bad for him and I couldn't leave him there in a cage with Sulcata's...
How do you do the CHE bulb with an enclosed chamber? The temps inside my room get about 70-75 at night even though the room doesnt have AC, just because of the temp outside. I have the CHE bulb set to 85
Do you think saran wrap will work? I'm afraid to build a wood lid as I'm worried the CHE will burn the wood and start a fire. I just want what's best for my baby and everything was fine until I got the CHE bulb lol
I see! I was worried when he called me and told me they were ready. I'll be keeping an eye on his weight and everything. And yes I was told he was being soaked everyday and to keep soaking him daily. John gave me a lot of good info about feeding and stuff. :)
Oh thank goodness lol. I spent all my time researching a Red foot and was worried!
Yes he was Hatched 07/29. I got him from a breeder in Tampa named John, he doesn't advertise online or anything, I met him through a tortoise group on Facebook - his friend recommended me to him. Is he too young...
Ty both! I have the substrate pretty thick, I think I didnt pour enough water in there. I just poured some more in and I'll monitor the humidity now :)
I went and picked up my hatchling red foot yesterday, but the breeder told me he was a cherry head and now I'm confused.
How can I tell the difference between a baby red foot and a baby cherry head? Is there a big difference in their care?
I think the humidity in my tank is falling due to the CHE bulb I have in it. How can I keep the humidity up? I have foil over the top of the tank and the only open spot is where the CHE bulb is. I thought about buying an auto mister like they have for chameleons?
Is it okay if the humidity...
I have 0 plant knowledge aside from plants I grow myself. Wondering if these weeds are safe for a baby red foot. Thanks!
I think the second picture is just clovers? Lol can't recall.
I have a garden that I'd like to utilize for my red foots diet, so that I'm not always purchasing foods from the store. I'm also wanting to ensure I have enough weeds for him or her.
I'm wondering which plants/weeds are the easiest to grow in Florida? Also I was looking for dandelion seeds...
