This morning a cat got to my tortoise. From what I can see there are no injuries but my tortoise has been wedged in her shell for almost an hour. I think she’s in shock. Her legs are out and mostly lip although sometimes they twitch and her head is buried deep inside.

I have this weed in my garden that my tortoise absolutely adores eating but I am wary about putting it in her food rotation since I have no idea what it is and what the long term effects might be. I live in South Africa if the locality helps with the identification.
I will definitely try to introduce food using this method. I’ve just always been concerned that she eats very little (about two bites) and I’d give her more nutritious food but I suppose unhealthy food is better than nothing.
