Ok, I know this is a really odd question, but is it illegal to bring your desert tortoise with you from Ca to AZ and come back? Will they state boarder people take Roxy away??? ( p.s. Roxy was a rescue from an animal hospital that my mom woks at)

I lost a small 6 to 8 inch yellow with dark spotted totoise named Ash. He had some light burns on his face and shell because he was rescued from a fire, hens the name. He was lost in torrance ca. Thank you for time.
