I don't believe that a three-week old tortoise could already have MBD. This takes a while to develop. Keep the humidity up, keep them warm, and feed them well! :-)

I like the idea of highly processed foods being used only as supplements. I think Mazuri is great as that, and I use it once a week. Would advise against feeding it daily and try instead for a more natural diet/variety.

I feed once a week to youngsters. It's a good supplement, but is still a highly processed food, so I prefer feeding greens and flowers at a far greater ratio.
