Thank you for your comments Fester is 7 years old and has never done this before.
I have sprinklers that go off several times a day he usually sits under them.
His heat lamps go on at dusk and off at dawn. Should I the them off
My Sulcata isn't feeling well. I went on vacation and hired a pet sitter to care for him. I was gone 14 days. When I got home he isn't acting right, stays in his shelter instead of roaming the yard. Which is his habit. Fester eats 3 times a day now I am lucky to get 2 down him.
Today I noticed...
My Sulcata does this , he is in love with his water pool as long as I leave him alone he finishes and walks away if I disturb him he sits for awhile . I figure its nature so I check on him but don't interfere.
Took him to the vet and he got antibiotics he is much better now I have changed the way he enters and exits his house. He is much warmer and thriving. So grateful for all your support. Fester is doing great.
My 7 year old sulcata did something he has NEVER done before, he goes into his house at dusk and doesn't come back out until around 7am. When it is really cold I have a comforter I throw over the door to retain his heat. He can get out but not in with the comforter down. It has never tried...
My tort is over a year now and am thinking of what can I plant in my yard for when he is old enough. I think if I plant now in a few years they would be large enough to survive Bart.
I have a quarter acre to his disposal. And right now it is just 1 oak tree and grass.
Any suggestions??
Thank you for your help I am reading everything. Substrate Are mentioned but Not really recommended. What do you suggest for my guy. His health and safety mean everything to me.
I have had a Sulcata for 13 months now he measures 5"wide and 6" long. I want a companion for him, but not sure of what size would work . I know I cannot put a baby with him. The only one I have been able to find in 2" smaller all around. Could a 2" difference be dangerous. Please help me...
