He is beautiful; too bad the pet stores had them though...
A pet store in many cases, is a business. Their one and only aim is to make MONEY, and not to take care of an animal/a pet.:( At the same time, they (the pet stores) don't seem to be aware of the fact that they are "the losers" on the long run.;)

What is mushroom cap look?
perhaps I should say the shell looks more like a hat. It looks like a hat with a Brim it's not a round smooth shape like it should be, I call it mushroom cap though.

Sorry i want to make sure because i am new and i don't know about brim meaning.
From what i read, do you mean, the upper shell is flat? Flat like a cap?

Or a muffin top lol. Like a belt or rubber band was wrapped around the lower part of the carapace and the shell grew with that band tight. I've seen pictures before but in person it looks so bad. Even the top of the carapace has sunk down.

Here is one I rescued. It was kept in a pair setting with the dominant tortoise getting all the,"good " stuff! I called it a "saddle-back" from the caved in shape of the carapace. ImageUploadedByTortoise Forum1472028183.550659.jpg
