Is he a Russian? And how do I know?

I'm just wondering if our new guy is a Russian I have had a few people say maybe but I would like to know for sure thanks

I agree. Mine is Russian as well. Yours is a bit lighter than mine but has the same "markings". He's cute, by the way. :)

I agree with everyone else.

I wanted to warn you that torts regularly drown in those ramped water bowls. They are great for snakes and lizards, but unsafe for tortoises. Terra cotta plant saucers sunk into the substrate work better and are safer.

a nice Russian boy! I have three girls! they come running everytime I open their enclosure lid. big tort brutes in little bodies.

Just so you don't think Tom is over-exaggerating, I'll back him up. The ramps are known for drowning tortoises, plus they are much more expensive than a Terra cotta saucer!
