Depending on where you live they have them online pretty cheap. Any gardening or pet shop should have them.Hey ive been looking around for some regular organic top soil and some coconut coir but I cant seem to find them anywhere. Does anyone have any ideas where I should look? Thanks
Is eco earth useable?Depending on where you live they have them online pretty cheap. Any gardening or pet shop should have them.
Eco earth is coco fiber. So yes. Excellent choice for pretty much all small tortoises. Is eco earth useable?
I have a 3 by 2 foot enclosure (I plan on making it bigger) for a 6 month old hermanns tortoise. What species are you housing? What size?
I don't like to use topsoil because there is no way to know what it is. Eco Earth or coco coir is great for most species, but messy for others.
Also do you think a substrate of 70% eco earth with 30% cypress mulch good?I have a 3 by 2 foot enclosure (I plan on making it bigger) for a 6 month old hermanns tortoise.
That would absolutely work. Also do you think a substrate of 70% eco earth with 30% cypress mulch good?

oh so do you think I shouldnt put anything else but eco earth? The Eco-Earth part sounds good, but I see no need or purpose for the cypress mulch. I just use 100% coco coir for baby Testudo species.
