Looks a little more like 'Cats Ear' to me which is still cool and fine to eat.

I've had my hermanns since November and she's not a fan either to be fair- she kinda chills after a while and will just rest and soak though. I guess if temps and environment and everything else is right- some just aren't keen!

I have not yet hibernated my tort but am thinking of doing so this winter. I have read that for a first hibernation 6-8 weeks is not uncommon. Would be good to hear from more experienced owners In this area though. :)

Hi all, I have an entertaining Hermanns called Noah who will be 2 in November. Has anyone hibernated this young in captivity? Been reading lots and the general info on the net (which I'm often dubious of) is that you should hibernate until the tort is at least 3 (I'm aware of other factors also...

An interesting read of everyone's opinions. My little Noah will be 2 this winter and I read that this may be too young to 'hibernate' for the first time, any opinions on what age to start hibernation? Opinions much appreciated. :D

Also forgot to mention that I sprinkle the food every other day with nutrobal also bought from pets at home.

Once, my hermanns had a browny black tongue one morning and it freaked me a little (again she has a great diet) .... Once she had eaten again it cleaned off (thank goodness) and it's not happened again yet.....
