When we first got Mr. T ( 1 month ago) he burrowed and slept all the time. With advice from this forum and other sites, we have fine tuned his enclosure, lighting temps, etc., and he is much more active. It did take a couple days after the temps were correct for him to be convinced it's summer...

we are almost done setting up the enclosure but i wanted to know what you think about the moss that you get from the pet store?

Mr.T got food and water dishes, some substrate, and some moss for Christmas. we are upgrading his home today.

We plan on new water and food dish. Also trim the plastic around the edges, more substrate, and poles to mount all the lights on. We plan to add plants but will experiment with one fake one at first to make sure he doesn't try to eat it.

This is our latest version of the enclosure. We will make a few more adjustments soon...

i got it from Petco. They gave us a lot of wrong information and sold us a lot of "stuff" When he was in the glass tank we first got, he banged his head on the glass all the time. He hid in his hide all day until we built a new enclosure and got the temps right. Additional UVB was key to this...

my new R.T. use 2 just keep burrowing and hiding until i found out the lighting was 2 cold now he is much more active. he started off in a glass enclosure then we did a little more research and made a home-made enclosure. :):tort:
