MOODLUNA

Tonto is a Russian box tortoise who captivates me immensely! I find him to be mostly quite funny but also very mysterious because I'm not familiar with the tortoise lingo and personality. I do my best to keep him happy with a delicious nutritious meal and take him out for walks in the park a few times a week. I had no idea how active tortoises are! I get a kick every time he tries to climb something and like to set up things for him to climb on

I never planned on having a tortoise but am thankful to be able to experience taking care of such a beautiful creature. I came upon him basking in the sun with his head held high while I was on a run in my neighborhood. He looked like a tortoise angel lol. He was just a few feet from a busy road so I scooped him up and brought him home. I called the veterinarian to see if anyone reported a missing tortoise and reluctantly no one had. So his origins are unknown, maybe he is a tortoise angel! lol Anyhow I've had him now for about 3 months and have so much fun taking pictures of him, especially while eating.
