yeah i never thought about them digging right thru it. I guess ill stick with getting a plywood base for it. Good idea at the time, haha. I think ill use the drywall around the stand, so it looks nice.

I have a large piece of drywall, well it says wallboard, but its drywall. I was wondering if it was safe to use as a floor to a turtle table? As long as i water seal it and cover it in plastic ofcourse. but its going to be expossed to heat and such i was wondering if anyone had done this...

Yeah i thought about that cus you can get bookshelves cheap at yard sales or walmart, but you would still have to build a bottom to it cus that cardboard bottom would not hold up substrate very well, none the less rocks and such its usually just cardboard. And i would have to build a stand for...

yeah ive looked thru alot of old threads and found some designs i like. I want somthing thats not too expensive, but looks good at the same time since in like 2 years ill be living in a apartment.... So would 4'x2.5' be enough space for a russian. While im still living here he will(hopefully)...

Alright well i plan to get a russian maybe around the time of christmas, and i want to build a table thats about 4' by 2.5', i already have a place for him untill one is done but it would be nice to be able to get a general total cost for a table overall..... What kind of wood do you use...

No i havent tryed petfinder but i plan to do so thank you. If im using a 100w mvb i dont think the screen will filter much UVB at all. And im not worried about him climbing out, more about cats climbing it. I know they wont hurt him, its him hurting them i worry about. Well i guess they wont...
