I talked with a friend of mine who builds satellites, and he suggests that I use polished aluminum to keep the UV in tact. I will price that out to see if it's doable, and maybe look into a < $200 spectrometer. Maybe I'll get some cool info to share :)
@wellington - while that would work, for it to be a functioning table, the table top height has to be small enough such that you can fit your knees underneath it (currently about stool height). Heightening it would be to forfeit the idea. I'm open to it if it comes to it, though.
