They both kind of bully each other equally while eating. He was terrible when I first got them, which is why she has the messed up eye. But he was only aggressive while there was food. Now he just runs away from the food bowl, or will just stare at it, then wonders away. He is eating though, I...
I wish I could let them outside, but with a German Shepard, a Pit/Lab, and 17 cats, the chance of something breaking into their inclosure is pretty high, and I'm not able to just sit with them all day. The most they get is when I turn the blinds so the afternoon sun can shine in on them. :( I...
I noticed today while bathing my tortoises that my female, Netasha, has a strange space around the bottom of her top layer of scales on her shell (see pictures). Is this abnormal, or anything to be concerned about??
She is eating and is active, not lethargic at all.
Her eye is still milky...
These two are my first torties so I am not sure what all is safe for them yet. I'm glad I found this site, LoL. Thanks so much for y'alls help! I'll try my vet before I buy off line. ^_^

I went on the Tortoise Supply site and found some...
My male Russian has always been a little aggressive toward my female, he has even bitten her arm once hard enough to bring blood. :( He's normally only aggressive when there is food around...
I told that to tell this: I noticed that Netasha was rubbing her eye with her arm this morning, I...
Unfortunately I can't keep them outside. I have a pit/lab and a German Shepherd that weigh about 100 lbs each. =( I will try to make an outside one for them when ever I get to move out, though..! =)[hr]
That's what mine are doing in their current tank, they hit the side and circle it. They are...
My name is Lacey, I have 2 Russians, Borys and Netasha: a Beardy, Spike: 2 Hermit Crabs, Tarzan and Clippy, and Beta, Safire. Check out my profile for more info on me!
My Russian Torts are getting way to big for the tank they are currently in (20gallon :(). My Beardy is in a 40 gallon breeder, which is the size I'm sure they need to be in. The problem is, I still live at home and do not have room for another 40 gallon. I did not know that the torts would grow...
