    Russian Tortoise Burying

Have her 5 weeks. 3 days ago she dug herself deep in the 6: Substrate and is still there. The room is no colder than 68 ever. Will she stay there for the winter. I am in PA and put a UV-A/B light on for 10 hours a day.

    "Goldie"

Well I just released her. I truly hated to do it. I had her about 2 1/2 months. Released her in a state gameland area. She will have to go miles to get on a road. Streams near by. If I find another I will take (hopefully him) to the same area. I feel good to set her free.

New to Tortoise Forum: have a lost classroom pet Eastern Box Turtle: Tina Tortuga! Need advice!

I know what you are saying about assuming you don't take care of her. Forums are like that. She can go a good long time without water. Its a function of the temps. She is hunkering down right now. Comments like checking in the morning are a good idea

New member. My new Russian tortoise will not eat.

I had a huge outdoor pen and between 12 and 18 turtles at a time. Takes a while for them to eat after you change their environment. They are stressed from the move IMHO

    New Russian Tortoise

Already got him out of the tank. He will stay outside during warmer weather and come inside this fall. I will house her in my man cave. I have only hade the box turtle for 4 months. I will be releasing her in a state forest. I have researched it. Streams nearby and miles away from a road...

    Baby Box Turtle Diet

They eat anything. When they are introduced to a new environment they don't always eat right away. I used to give mine raw hamburger with some cod liver oil on it. Also liquid calcium on it.
