Thank you, Yvonne! The patterning I have seen on occasion. As the tortoise gets older it will have the shell appearance of a "typical" Egyptian.Looking good! I particularly like the shell pattern on the one at the top.
Yeah, it's too bad those 'different' ones couldn't keep their unusual look as they age. Several years ago I took in a group of 13 desert tortoise hatchlings to adopt out. Kept two of them because their shells had an orange hue. Now, several years later, you can't tell them from normal colored torts.Thank you, Yvonne! The patterning I have seen on occasion.
