Is this the start of pyramiding?

this is yoda my red foot tortoise. He is about 5 months old, and I have noticed that the top of his shell has looked a little more bumpy than it usually is. Does this look like the start of pyramiding? Or is it just new growth

I don’t personally see any pyramiding on your little guy, least not on the photos😊
I think a lot of red foot owners struggle keeping their shell 100% smooth in captivity, but it can definitely be done, if you’re keeping your humidity around 80+ you’re helping to prevent it🙂

Ok thanks!! And yes his humidity is at a constant 80-90 percent humidity
