Looks like s gopherous tortoise to me. AKA a California Desert Tortoise, though they are found in other states.

No, sorry to shoot you guys down, but this is one of those testudos that I'm not good at I.D.ing.

@Ocirne94 - Would you be so kind as to show more of the tortoise? Side view, underside view? And then we'll give a shout out to @HermanniChris In fact I'll bet he can I.D. the tortoise from just this shot alone!! (He's that good!)

In no way is that any Gopherus species. It's a Greek tortoise and is a T. g. ibera. Nice animal!
