I've said it before and I'll say it again. It's ads like this that make the 'bad guys' think turtles and tortoises are worth stealing to try to make some money. People uneducated in the prices of sulcatas are the worst. They try to sell their sulcatas for outrageous prices on craigslist, etc. and this gives the wrong ideas to those who want to steal them.

I like RES, so thank heaven they are illegal to own in Oregon. RES are really adaptable and aggressive and they have taken over the habitat of the very shy, reclusive Western Pond Turtle. So now in the PNW they are a threatened species. Same with the Western Painted, only they are not on the threatened list just yet.

Well, well, well. I knew if I held onto my RES long enough they would be worth something. Now to post an armed guard outside my pond.
I got a soft spot for the RES.
