Your Favorite Filter?

Ive been housing my Three Stripe Mud turtle in an assortment of tanks and bowls over the 22 years Ive had her and never used a filter. Her water level is low (about 5 inches) and I do weekly water changes (more, if needed). Id like to try something new for her and have a more full tank with a few fish for snacking, but I would like a filter for something like that. Can any of you recommend a filter? There is so much info on turtle filters out there that I get tired just looking at Googles search results haha Can anyone help me narrow it down?

I like fluval submersible filters.

I use very small and affordable fluval for my 3 striped male that is in a 20 L tank. It's perfect.

I love the Fluval canister filters... I've used many different sizes and never had a complaint.

I have DBTs.
a bottom sump tank with protein skimmer, filter bag and overflow system.
Yes i use the similar setup for my coral reef tank.
