Hi Tyler:

The habitat you've made for your little guy is really nice. One thing with a nice, big habitat like that is its hard to heat and keep in the humidity. Doesn't look too hot, but you may have to cover or partially cover it to hold in the heat.

My baby sulcata was acting the same way i had the coil bulb for a week, yesterday i switched to the exo terra mvb 120w and already i noticed it doeant irraiate his eyes!
I got yesterday so i have got any better info at the moment,
Il check back with u to let you know if he has improved as well as with mine

Thanks for your interest and reply...

Regretfully, there was more to Tebow's sickness than the coil bulb. He was very poorly taken care of from the place I got him from, TortoiseShack.com.

His situation got worse. We tried everything we could but Tebow didn't pull through. It's been two weeks since he's passed and it still stings whenever I mention him.

He was an adorable sulcata - our very first - and we'll always remember him.

Since then we've gotten a wonderfully healthy sulcata, Dash, that we purchased from Tortoise Supply. He melted our hearts instantly and we couldn't be happier.

Thanks again for your reply...and it's a delight to see how driven you are to learn as much as you can about your new sullie.

Thanks tebo, this is my very first baby sulcata too!

Also the place were i got mine at, taken care of him poorly theu fed him moatly romaine lettuce, thats it!
They had him in a rabbit cage with rabbit poop and they had no uvb light
And the heat lamp wasnt hot enough!

Iv had him for two weeks and i had the coil bulb!
I replaced it yesterday and he seems more energized and the light doesnt bother him as much!

Hes eating fine daily, i use cuttlebone alog with the muzuira diet!
I also take him outside an hour a day!

Hope ur little one gets better with the new light
