Worried about pyramiding

My tort Bert has a nice shell, i would like to know how to spot pyramiding early and how I need to prevent it.

My tort Bert has a nice shell, i would like to know how to spot pyramiding early and how I need to prevent it.

Bertus has from what i see already pyramiding. The shell does not look smooth in this pic. I might be wrong. Soak more in water, hydrate with veggies, romaine and i soak mazuri in water. But everybody has its own way to treat their torts. I'm not an expert in pyramiding, since mine never had this issue.

Beautiful little tort

Proper hydration
Proper uv access
Proper exercise
Proper diet

These are important factors to strive towards....you can also offer up a warm humid hide (that never falls below 80-83 degrees) this way the tort can juicy up when it feels the need....
