I saw this true 5 footer at Morikami Japanese garden this morning.
The orange means he's a boy and he's the King of that particular area.
There are 6+ footers out there. But usually not as far north as Palm Beach county.
We must've seen at least 50 of them.

Along the slopes of the larger canals you can see large holes where they are burrowing. They love to dig holes along my seawall and they eat everything I try to grow for the tortoises. You should see the plastic and metal cages I’ve had to build just to protect a few plants for my tortoises. They’re great at ignoring something for about six months and then once you think they don’t like it, they’ll come and eat every leaf off of it. ? Like some tortoises they will eat carrion and birds eggs that they come across. I have to go around and pick up all the iguana poop in my backyard before I let my tortoises wander. My female loves to eat any poop from any animal she can find. Ick!

Hey there, Wow - we have the same thing here.
I can look over my fence and see them along the waters edge of the canal in their burrows.
The holes are in the coral rock wall.
Not cool, they love the pool, damage the patio, etc. They are a non-native species nuisance.

I was down in the Keys in 2019 and they were everywhere. 5' iguanas on the bike path. I also heard of one getting up on a power line and getting electrocuted which caused a power outage.
That's what eradicated our feral monkey population.
At any given time, there are at least 2 iguanas in my yard. And I'm a full block away from the nearest canal.

Apparently, the range of the green iguana in Florida is expanding northward due to warmer winters.

The other thing that cracked me up in S. Florida were the signs advertising iguana extermination:
"Got Iguana Problems? Call us!"

They are now called FLORIDA TREE CHICKENS
Apparently they're delicious
