Earlier today i was doing my typical cleaning, etc. around the farm and noticed a fresh pile of sand in my cactus planters. After closer inspection, WOW, it was a freshly dug native gopher tortoise burrow on the lot next to mine, and a big one! After even closer inspection i saw him near the woods edge just sitting there in the shade/sun. We actually have many in this area, i love watching them browse around in the open areas next to our property! He was beautiful!

Wow, very cool Greg. Have you ever had them in the Aldabras enclosure? Thanks for sharing. That's the best kind of pics, seeing them wild

Sweet wild tortoises! I found a three toed box turtle in my compost pile eating old mazuri .

* NO! "Nothing" goes in our aldabra pens!

These are wild tortoise, never cross contaminate with a gopher!
