So this is my Indian star and he is so small. He is a two years old Indian star. He eats and poop everyday and he is a pretty good job but I just don't know why he is so small.

Besides the food, heat and exercise also has a lot to do with how well a tortoise grows. Do you have the baby set up in a large habitat that you keep warm enough?

This is not mine. This is my friend's but I'm just so curious why the Indian star is small. The tank is quite small is that why the turtle is small?

small enclosure leads to stunted animal... just like the fishes.... and as Yvonne said food, heat and exercise plays an important role... and this specimen seems to have a fair bit of pyramiding considering the size... is your friend keeping it dry?

well if that's the permanent enclosure then it is very very small... and tell your friend to soak the tort twice in lukewarm water....

Do you see the green thing? That's his enclosure I think

If the green thing is the enclosure. That is way, way way too small. Please ask your friend to make a enclosure that is at least 100 CM X 100 CM.

Then watch the star to grow.

If that's the enclosure I'd say the lacking thing would be the sun, or artificial UVB and calcium, mixed with proper enclosure and diet will allow nice good growth of young tortoises.
