It looks like it's healing nicely to me. I'm pretty sure the reason it's a little bit darker red than before is because the blood is hardening, and becoming a scab.

Once again thank you all! He's slowly getting more scales, and his scab is looking better! I'm just curious if the scales will regain color, or if it will leave a scar

His scab is starting to peel off now, but when it does I will make sure to keep it clean.

Just thought I would post a little update. He shed the "bump" a couple of more times and now it looks almost normal (not including the discoloration). He has shed a few scales around the area so his half of his head is lighter than the other half.

There wasn't ever any infection (that I noticed anyway) so we got lucky.IMG_20180914_234527239.jpeg
