where to get one

I am looking for my first tortiose where do you get them?

i recommend you find your nearest tortoise club, join up and talk to the members. chances are they have access to plenty of adoptable torts

Josh is right there are so many tortoises in need of a good home. But please do the research first. Which will help you determine what type & size you may want. These precious shelled animals live very long lives and take a long term commitment. They also have varied habitat (heat, substrate, vegitation, humidity) and food needs.

Welcome to Tortoise Forum.org bearfootdaddy.You must think if you can afford to give your tortoise the proper care and all this adds up lictrecity, vet bills and food all this adds up over the years.
