What type of tortoise is this?

I'm on the west coast visiting family and got to visit with this tortoise for a few minutes. I could only get a few pictures, but was wondering if someone could help identify it. Thanks.

its a Russian , they stay small, very common in your petco & petsmart type stores, or you can also find breeders who will have exceptional examples of that species

Looks like an old russian ( weather beaten shell).

I thought that it was a Russian, but just wanted confirmation. The tortoise was given to the family member many years ago so it's definitely up there in age, but nobody knows exactly how old.
