he looks healthy but you should get some stuff for his aquarium, rocks, plants and things like that so he can feel more comfortable
I had earlier planted plants in my aquarium and also kept some stones but this is such a species of turtle that it eats the whole plant and moves the stones around and it does not sit on the basking area so I put it in sunlight every morning.

Hi all I have a similar issue. My turtle never done it before. But it took a piece out of the bio filter from my whisper 10-30 gallon. I have 2 of these filters running in the tank. The turtle in question is 6-7 inches and she chomped off some of the bio filter. I took her out of her tank and moved her into a big Rubbermaid box. Gave her a inch of warm water and ran a heater near the box for an hour at 27 degrees. I came home and saw she had pooped but no sign of the filter. I fed her this morning and she ate the filter closer towards supper time. She doesn't seem to be happy with her current Rubbermaid enclosure. Walking around and trying to get out. When I pick her up she seems calm. Honestly I adopted them 1.5 months ago. I'm still trying to pay off the Vet visit 10 days ago. Cause I was worried about the pigmentation in their skin.
