What kind of tortoise/turtle?

I'm curious what kind of
Tortoise/turtle this is. The owner says its a cherry head red foot.

Its a 3-toed box turtle (terrapene carolina triunguis). At least there's one consolation...they pretty much take the same care (the RF and the box).

Well, the legs are similar to that of a RF, but the rest is completely different.

Not sure how someone could mistake the shell for a RF, considering it is completely different in shape and coloration.

Because common names are taken way too literally.........After all, it could be a "cherryhead redfoot", but not a cherryhead redfoot Tortoise........
