Does anyone know what the white area is on my sulcata? She has several different places that look like this.

Is that on the plastron? Looks like he sat in some urates.

Soak him and I'll bet it wipes right off.

Haha, poop or dirt? Looks more like dirt to me. I also wouldn't think that much urates would get on them, let alone come out, wow, that's a lot:eek:

Nope, it's not urates. I just soaked her for 30 min, and scrubbed all the areas with a tooth brush. They are still there! I believe it's a fungus. I put some lotramin on it, so we will see..... This tortoise came from south Florida, and had shell rot on her plastron when I got her. I've had her about 6 or 7 months now. Her plastron looks better, but it's still not totally gone. I'm in GA, which isn't much better for the moisture, but it is a little better. I keep her hide box dry, but of course our ground has been pretty wet.

It looks like he's scraping his side. My sulcata does that when he goes into his house.
