Everyone keeps saying not to feed that to my turtle which is a Russian Tortoise but I am not completely sure what they look like.

I have been feeding my turtle Romaine Lettuce I think.

What type of food is best to feed my turtle?

I also have some RepCal food that I have given him a few times.

Iceburg lettuce is the really pale green lettuce you see in the stores either in heads or packaged as a salad mix. The stuff you normally get on a taco or a simple salad when you eat out. Roamine is darker green and is not a round head. The general rule is darker greens are better food value. Things like turnip greens, collard greens, mustard greens, and of course weeds are even better (like dandelions and plantain).

Just in case this wasn't clear enough, iceberg lettuce is the one you see the most of in supermarkets - the round heads of lettuce that we all grew up with. That's iceberg.
