Could somebody please help me understand what is going on in that egg?

Russian tortoise, we are on the day 69.
Humidity 65-75%, average temp C 30.6-31.6 (F 87-89).
Has the membrane been broken??? 3 days ago it was intact ....

it pipped!!! Day 71!
Thank you, Tom, just followed your advice :)
Awesome news! More often than not, this is how it goes.

Now check this out so you do all the right stuff for your new hatching:

And remember: Hatching is a process, not an event. Wait until the new baby gets out of its egg on its own power. This can happen in a few hours, or a few days. Don't rush it.

Unless you used perlite for an incubation media. In that case, go get the baby out of their right now! (No one should incubate torts on perlite.)

What Tom means is that if you are incubating using perlite, remove the egg from the perlite, not help get the hatchling out of the shell. You can fold up a moist piece of paper towel and place it in the bottom of a plastic container. You can then use another paper towel and roll it up to form a donut shape. Place the egg in the donut shaped paper towel which will keep the egg from rolling around while hatching.

Thank you everyone for your kind advice! I’ve already moved the baby on a moist paper «donut » and left him in the incubator. So excited!! I will make a post with pictures and my experience later today. :)
