I have a 40 gallon preformed filter, it is not in the ground. I have 1 DBT in there, I dont like the way my submersible 30 gallon filter is working. So I was looking on youtube and came across the Wendy Filter.

Has anyone made one and are using it?

I am not sure what size pump I would need for this size pond and filter. I plan on making the Wendy using a 2.5 gallon bucket.

Any help and info would be great, thank you.

I'm pretty sure its the same as the Skippy filter. I used a 30 gallon plastic garbage can for mine. And I bought a small sump pump from Harbor Freight to move the water.

I know this is an old thread, but I’m going to be building a Wendy filter for my 100gal stock tank for my RES. I want to make sure I buy a pond pump that’s appropriate. I need a pump that’s rated for 200gal right? What GPH should I be looking for? (Are those two separate things?)
Lost beginner here!!
